I keep hearing about male loneliness as if it were something new to male humans. But loneliness has always been the lot of men in life.

As they say, what adversity that doesn’t kill you makes you stronger – in the long run. Make of that what you will, but loneliness is just inherently an aspect of being born male – that’s just the way it is. Has been since the first moment man realized that if he were to survive at all it was up to him alone.

The male experience takes on many descriptive terms, but the first one that comes to mind is the aborigine “walk about(s).” Although all male creatures have some variation of the same self seclusion(s) of solitude. I mean, what is a monk after all? Then there’s famous artists such as Paul Gauguin and Vincent van Gogh. The list is actually unbelievably extensive.

Even male animals have such self forced instances of loneliness – it’s just accepted as part of a male experience.

There’s nothing said about male loneliness in the ‘edict’ pronounced upon man at Genesis 3:17-19 – although the inference is obvious.

Men have long been in search of requited love – reciprocal love of which men may only be capable of? Women on the other hand confuse covetousness with love – they love the way a man loves an automobile. Why else would child abuse be more likely to take place at the hands of women if they didn’t see them as their property. Or have you never heard the words in anger to a child that they’d brought them into this world and they can take them out of it?

Or how many times have you head a females refer to her children and/or her husband as though they were property?

Just take note of how many times, people and things (this that or anything) are referred to as though they’re her property -- especially after marriages!
