They always try to polish that turd with labels like "progressive" and "liberal," but it still stinks all the same.

Eventually they will have to replace Progressive too.

Sounds good to me. Then modern-day Republicans can't use the tired "party of the KKK" argument anymore.

Everything they say about Democratic party in the article can be applied at the other end of the spectrum to Republican party. They should probably change their name too.

Michael Savage awile ago spoke of starting a Nationalist party.....Nothing wrong with loving your country.

@johnlondon as long as they aren't predominantly Christian. Many Christians say they put God over country, so they can't be true nationalists.

What's tired about it? It's history that tearing down every statue in the world won't change.

@ButchKnouse37 it's tired because the majority of people who parrot that talking point know full well that the parties essentially switched, and that the modern day Republican party is the old Democrat party, and vice versa.

If they were truthful, they would have called themselves the Socialist party. But truth and socialism are not compatible.
