Wheeler is a real scumbag, and all things wrong with the idea of a politician. He is playing both ends against the middle trying to make himself look like some of hero. When the Proud Boys were in POrtland for a big gathering a couple of years back he sent the police in with orders to only arrest Proud Boys, and stand down when antifa and the various morons around Protland were getting violent. The only time the Proud Boys got violent was in sel defense and then they got arrested and the mutts that attacked them walked away.

When there was talk about sending in federal agents he tells everyone he begged the city council to approve the use of city police to control the protestors, but they would not give him permission to send the police in. Just passing off his responsibilites.

The only problem is these federal agents are not actually making anything better. The Stassi methods they are using will only incite more reistance and violence. They will also end up creating all kinds of law suits that will only put law enforcement in an even worse light, only in Portland the local law will reap the whirlwind long after all these feds have gone home.
