indeed but there is an example of the left cutting off its nose in spite of its face - they couldn't very well ask or encourage or quietly force RBG out - after all the narrative of her having "fought hard and long" to overcome anti-woman barriers would have made them look like the hypocrites that they truly are had they made her step down...no no no...that would never do.
I really believe had Hilary won the election in 2016 RBG and maybe one other would have stepped down...but they HAD to stay on after Trump won in order to delay for as long as possible Trumps appointments.
