@dd54 I lived in the U.K and the U,S for several years. The U.K had a Labour(socialist) government. I lived in Portugal for several years under a socialist government.
The Scandinavian countries are Socialist sometimes, depending on who wins elections.
if you google "The Nordic Model" they have a specific brand of socialism.

Those countries world rankings in Healthcare, Education and general well being of its citizens are highly rated. Compare that with many other powerful nations like the U.S and there is no comparison.
