Welcome to V for Vendetta. This pandemic is far too convenient for the authorities to ever pronounce over and lose their absolute powers for this emergency.

Snitches don't fair well in this type of setting either. Not advocating it by any means, but the gestapo doesn't really like the sneaky informant they get info from. The traitor may get extra ration cards but the neighbors will get revenge. And the police will be too busy reprimanding curfew breakers to pay attention to screams coming from the snitch's house.
Snitches get stitches. At least the mask will hide all those missing teeth. Other health problems than Covid as these characters forget.

if that happened to me and I knew who or which neighbor it was who snitched there would be hell to pay!

@iThink I would wait till the snitch and her or his family was gone and vandalize the house. Or burn it down. Not about revenge so much as protecting others from the corrupt. Destroying the home or frightening the karen would force her to leave town.

Communists are loving this.

I see no difference between Canada and China, at least as bad.
Canadians were so deceived. It's the worst I've known. Although some told me what P. Trudeau did was just as bad.

Canada has been very corrupt.
Did you read rebel news on the Alberta MLA? What Alberta did to churches?
Canadians have no rights at all.

I've read so many of these, forgive me ,if I don't 'toke up' on more.

Australia is the same.
Canada is considered atheist, and I think it's telling.

Sure, lots of wrong beliefs, crazy beliefs, goes with Christianity. But US has more Christians and the situation is not so crazy...yet. Let's hope it doesn't.

I actually expect worse, praying to be ready.
Christians have been killed big time the world over.
We were spared.
A Christian doesn't want to live unto themselves.

My question is: What can Canadians do? Like Stalin's time, some like to snitch, live to snith: perceived insults, jealousy, lots of reasons.

Somehow the communists were overthrown.
I have been thinking. If we find ways to keep connected despite the government--exchanging notes when running errands and supporting through underground economies with local neighbors--we may destroy the People's Republic of America by breaking away into 2 or 3 separate countries with the DNC only holding part of the coast. This would further weaken and undermine the feds.
Strengthen our communities and social networks while the State weakens. Our "leaders" are already incompetent idiots. Senile fools like Schumer, Pelosi, Biden. And stupid kids like AOC. Stalin or Hitler they ain't. Brutal enough but too dumb.
If police are corrupt bribery may be a way around them. They already have sold out so you're not guilty of leading them astray. Or set up distractions on the opposite end of the city. Framing the local snitch could be interesting. Find abandoned warehouses to meet in for church or speakeasies. I heard of a woman running a speakeasy in a blue city in America. Friends are the new booze and human contact is a no no.
If we overthrow them it will be because the church has held together and outlasted these tyrants. My preacher says we will stay open. After his family recovered from Covid. Infected people self quarantine and we don't blame others for infecting us. How people acted 100 years ago. Love is worth the risk. We will meet by hook or by crook and help those who suffer no matter what Big Brother says or does.
We Christians will not accept Caesar Nero as our Great Physician.

@REN777 Jesus said it's LOVE, and love in action too. That so-called better time we had didn't bring us closer. Everyone too busy, running, doing. This situation will push us into doing what Jesus wants.
Personally, I'm in favor of compliance to a point.
To me, the body of Christ is spiritual. And physical meetings can bring out the carnal.
There's apps, even Skype, chat where large numbers can 'gather perfectly safely.
I have a neighbor, quite up on things, told me months ago Covid-19 was a hoax.
He and his wife both got it!
I told him I didn't know.
Whatever it is, there's a dangerous pathogen out there. No fear. But taking precautions is what I'll do.
I even see situations where I think for short periods, a mask may be wise: close to others for a period of time.
We'll be pushed into what's right!!
I believe in Jesus's teachings: OVERCOME evil ...with good.

@2FollowHim I agree that we should overcome evil with good.
But I disagree that this crisis has brought people together. Exactly the opposite.

Sick of antisocial media. I'm deleting my FB account because things are so ugly there now. It will never be the same as human contact.

Not opposed to short term church closings btw. Or splitting services. Or downstreaming which we did for shut ins before March 2020. But screens are not people. I refuse to pretend they are.

Believe me there is plenty of carnality online. Ask any porn addict.

(Not a covid denier for the record. I've met a few online and think it's a reaction.) Nor am I what most charicaturize as an anti masker. I started out the opposite in fact.

@REN777 I'm talking about where we see, talk (biblically) to each other. I actually think physical meeting can easily prompt judging. Those 'voices' Paul spoke about are in operation.
To me, a screen does nothing except protect from various diseases, not just Covid-19, assuming that's correct.
It's something, and something more than flu virus. I'm into avoiding it myself.
I'm sure not suggesting pork for those 'godly in Christ Jesus'.

I haven't seen this even attempted, have you?
It's not fair to judge what hasn't been tested.

Also, you wouldn't get those tragedies of some, say, white supremacist killing those at church.
Not possible when assembly is online.
I can meet believers then from all over the world.
And the spirit transcends everything.

I need proof myself before I accept or reject anything in this realm. I still don't have it.
Both sides make, partial, good cases.
I'm strongly antimask due to knowing expelled air is our waste product.
But I also see the need for short periods under crowded conditions, especially for several minutes, like crowded transit.
Finally some are beginning to question masks.
It seems there's a place.

But I think gatherings if we can see each other online should be tested.
I thought it was possible for groups not physically together to sing together.
Shouldn't this technology be available?
Years ago, I met a Christian girl who said her Christian family 'met online since they were all over, to
talk, and sing together on Skype.
She did it, said it was great, just as good.
We connect spiritually not carnally. I believe the carnal really tries to hurt Christian gatherings.
Has this even tried? Tested?
Also, I find more people can produce a fake euphoria that's gone once the service ends; seen it happen, on the spot, many times.

Was just reading about that incident on another site, disturbing indeed, and the same could happen here in the US.

Planning for that.
There are ways of fighting for our rights locally.
Easier than getting your governor to acquiesce.
If your sheriff or mayor is on your side they will say, "You can pass a mandate. But I won't enforce it." Happening everywhere. Even in California. A town in Blue Washington state said, "Forget you!" and completely opened. No dead bodies in the streets so far.
It may not be possible to win over your local police. BUT if you can it will be worth your while.
