This is the case that politicians and law enforcement should learn from, and this is the lesson they need to learn:
If they do not protect the public they are sworn to protect, then the public will protect themselves.

I remember that case. I was in Texas at the time and recently married. Both my wife and I thought it was a shame it took the town so long to deal with Ken.

I remember first hearing about it from a TV movie based on these events with Brian Dennehy RIP. However, I haven't heard much about it since, until I came across this.
