LINK Quanta Magazine: With Category Theory, Mathematics Escapes From Equality

You will often hear me say that I don't believe in equality, that I believe in equivalence... that I don't believe in truth, that I believe in consistency and coherence.

This is all born out of my embracing Category Theory as the best way to view the mathematical world as opposed to Set Theory

This approachable article should give insight into how the first of these topics, equality vs. equivalence.

It is not a giant leap to then see how this way of viewing things can help us speak about other things outside of mathematics such as "men and women are not equal but they are equivalent" or "There is no truth to that statement but it is consistent and coherent"
