The nay sayers respond to this tweet saying that the threat against Judge Kavanaugh was really no threat at all. They say the would be assassin called 911 himself and that he had an unloaded gun.
Even if this is true the incident certain was worthy of more than a mere mention in Network News programming.
The fact that Kavanaughs residence had been "doxed" and that mobs showed up there is a hugely important story alone and it did get some network news coverage. The appearance of a "lone assassin" at the Kavanaugh home was a natural extension of the mob incident.
One thing is certain - if the threat of assassination were made against someone named Kagan or Sotomayor the "press" would be talking about it for weeks after the initial threating incident occurred.
