It's not the gun who kills, its the person who kills. The only people who should not have guns are people who show psychopathic tendencies. You can kill without a gun as well. There are stories of serial killers who use poison not guns. Look at Graham Young

How about restoring those formerly institutionalized for treatment for their own benefit, who also included psychopaths, that were released into society in 1970 when Geraldo Rivera convinced housewives that such institutions were cruel, to new institutions.

Yes people like that are not punished properly meaning more dangers to society.
The argument that guns are responsible for killing is nothing more than an emotional knee-jerk reaction to the situation. Then again, the far-left progressive types who support gun control measures are overly emotional.

And always in favor of simplistic not fully thought-out "solutions" which result in unintended consequences that are often worse than the original problem.
