I've heard a lot of complaints by the Mexican government about US arms being sold to Mexican cartels. What the cartelistas are buying are high end pistols and sniper rifles. Prestige items for high ranking gangsters That's bad enough, I suppose.

The real problem Mexico has is cartels buying shiploads of military arms from China. Cartels are fielding platoon sized, and even company sized infantry units that outgun most Mexican police and some military units. Endemic corruption makes this possible.

Yet another reason to secure our southern border.
