Buy-den knows nothing about what the people in his administration are doing. He just gave a speech about making the country energy independent.

There is no good reason to strangle the US economy. Renewables are not sufficiently developed nor do they exist in sufficient number to be anywhere close to enough to replace oil.

And oil will be around for another 300 years in the US, and for a hundred years or so in the middle East and Russia, so the justification to cripple the economy does not exist.

That gives us plenty of time to develop renewables sufficiently to be ready at that time. We are not ready now, and making the leap before we are ready is like running off a cliff before putting on wings.

Those pushing us off that cliff deserve public ridicule and scorn. And those electing people like that also deserve scorn and laughter.

Is anyone surprised, if yes, why?
