The conclusion that life on the Earth was seeded by asteroids pretty much ignores the facts that 1, The Sun seems to be among the oldest Population III stars known, reducing the likelihood to something vanishingly small that there could be life originating elsewhere earlier than Earth, and 2, the more recent theories of the origins of life on Earth seem to be trending to "inevitable," versus the ideas decades older which said that for life to occur spontaneously on Earth was nearly impossible.
