My anxiety has been particularly bad lately. After I have an attack I feel exhausted depending on how bad it is. I get a fight or flight response and I don't know what to do with it because my life isn't in any actual danger when it happens. Often times I'll get a headache after an episode. I just try to relax as best as I can so I can go back to normal.

Music helps sometimes. Or watching content with very light subjects. Whether it's comedic or just something fun I can get into. Drawing can also help but lately I haven't been doing that a lot.

It's difficult to deal with. Mild attacks are fine. It's the bad ones that are hard to deal with. I just need to breathe and try to come up with a solution for stressors.

Don't you find society, government difficult? Not normal, not relaxing?
Covid-19 is a death tag and nobody wants that.

So with so much wrong, wouldn't we feel it, notice it?

I watch that the train doesn't leave the station, pick up speed, escalate.
Some things REALLY do it to me. I know what they are, and they're real.
They did happen for two years. Another difficulty hit, I'm weary.
So, one area gets past my defences. No defence.

I highly recommend giving medication a try. Maybe your doctor will give you something like Escitalopram. It is a prescription seratonin reuptake inhibitor that does not make you zombie-like, and is used for anxiety/panic disorders. You should also do counseling. Your counselor can provide you with great coping mechanisms (like using your 5 senses to focus on things you can hear, feel, touch, taste and smell). Just know, you are not crazy. You are not alone. You are not broken. You are one, of many, who have this condition. And, you should never hesitate to reach out, get a doctor to prescribe something that works, and seek counseling to learn how to cope when an attack comes on.

I've lived with the same condition for about 35 years. It sucks. The thing that sucks the most is that it doesn't even have to be triggered by anything external to me. It just happens!

When the bad ones come on, if I'm in a space that I can do it, I'll turn on a box fan or tune the radio to static (for the white noise ). I then practice my deep breathing techniques and engage in soothing self talk.

That usually works for me.

I wish you luck, and know that you aren't alone.

Give meditation a try. Even ten minutes a day can help. Many apps and YouTube videos available. Panic attacks are no fun. Deep breathing exercises can help as well

My prayer is for your recovery and good health. You can relax. Nothing is as bad as everyone wants you to feel.

The political climate today is an attempt by anti-constitutionalists to destabilize society and replace it with their own utopia. The fact is, most of us will survive such an event just fine. And the story the anti-constitutionalists are creating is almost all completely fiction, so you don't really have to worry much about it. That means the virus, the climate, police brutality, racism...all of that is fiction that the media - which is owned by the anti-constitutionalists, wants you to believe. You don't have to. Relax. You are going to be fine.

Some of us are bothered by the danger to our Constitution. That is real, but you don't need to worry about that. We will do our best to defend it. And if we fail, probably no big deal for many people who are not concerned about our political system.

Thanks for the well wishes. It's more my own life that's getting to me. I'm not into the conspiracy theories but I agree that climate change likely isn't as serious as people are making it out to be.

Sorry to hear. I'm a Type 1 Diabetic, and if my blood sugar has been drastically fluctuating all day, I feel stressed and irritable. Anxiety attacks are no fun.

"The lost tapes" album by Nas was once helpful to me.

I might check that out. An album I go to sometimes is "Man on the Moon" by Kid Cudi.
