I have constructed a thought experiment that intends to test the Voluntary Mutual Defense hypothesis which concludes that The Law Power is in fact strictly voluntary.
This experiment involves a theoretical device that can have any name anyone wants to place on this device, but for now I will call this device The Empathy App.
The Empathy App Thought Experiment asks the experimenting user to imagine the usages of a future Empathy App once this App is created, mass produced, and in general use by those who want to use this app.
The App defined:
The App connects two minds and swtiches current perception of each to the other as if the power of sympathy and empathy are thereby fully experienced factually.
A possible application of the App:
Doctors don’t have to ask “Where does it hurt?” when diagnosing a patients condition. The doctor simply uses the app to find out precisely how the patient feels at that moment.
App memory storage feature:
The App can be used to store an individuals perception at the press of a button like the record button on a video camera.
An application of the App memory storage feature:
Doctors can ask patients to record those times when symptoms occur in cases where ailments are sporadic.
Additional uses:
Crime investigation can include a request to validate witness testimony.
Office seekers could record their perspective during debates and voters could tap into those perspectives of those office seekers during debates during or after those debates.
Would this device be authorized by law in your viewpoint and if so why?
Would this device be "outlawed" according to your viewpoint of law, and if so why?
I have not yet thought this out with much effort as yet, so help is appreciated as usual.
