Transcels?

Came here from Blaire White's video

and a comment made me coin a new word - Transcel. Like incels, transcels think they have a right to have sex with people who don't find them attractive. Useful?

Tbh I'm not fan of using taunting nicknames for groups of people. I think that it inhibits discussion and makes us look kind of clique-y. Like yeah, of course I think it's abhorrent that a significant group of trans rights activists are shaming people for their sexuality but we're not going to change their minds by calling them names. All it does is give them ammunition to call us hateful and childish.

This is also the kind of thing that some incels themselves do- they call women "roasties" in an attempt to dehumanize and discredit them.

Well it clearly hasn't worked because they're still Incels... Ironically enough it was a woman who coined the phrase and at that time it was really just a for people who had difficulties finding people to have with to discuss their issues. Angry men who blamed women for the fact they couldn't get laid hijacked it and turned it into the grotesque thing we now know it as. So they can call us "roasties" all they like. All they're doing is making the possibility of finding someone who wants to have with them even more unlikely.

Honestly I agree. It's easy to use the terms because people recognise them, however. Usually I just put them in quotation marks.

@Lilu wow, had no idea it was a woman who coined “incels”. I did some googling and it looks like it could’ve been a pretty constructive support group had sexism and bitterness not taken over.

@bluuflowers Yes and in its original form it was inclusive of both women and men and from what I've read was a great support group for those who had similar issues. It's a shame it was hijacked by women hating misogynists and is now something entirely different.
