Hi Arielle I’ve been watching your videos for the past week and I feel like you’ve voiced feelings I’ve been having for a while. I went through a period of identifying as non binary bc I felt uncomfortable with my gender roles and had body dysmorphia. I went to a gender therapist just to talk about what I was feeling and they immediately pressured me to go on hormones. They even told me my anxiety and depression would probably be cured if I start on testosterone! All the NB ppl in my life started transitioning and so many of them still seemed just as miserable if not more. Whenever I told them how I was feeling they told me I was trans. Like they said cis people don’t question their gender (wtf).

I decided to not go on T, and take care of my health. When I lost weight and started taking care of myself I realized it was body dysmorphia all along not gender dysphoria. It’s dumb but I’m actually a little scared to tell people in my life I’m not NB bc many of them identify as NB but I hate doing a disservice to actual trans ppl and lumping myself in with them.

Anyways now I’m in the rabbit hole of watching you, Blaire white, Dave Rubin, and more moderate you tubers and finding I will probably lose friends and family when I come out to them with my “bigoted” views (and I’m black and Latina too lol). Thanks for all you do! I love your videos and appreciate your perspective! Would love to hear others perspectives on this topic too. I sincerely believe most NB ppl suffer from body dysmorphia over gender dysphoria.

UGH I feel like this needs to be a video in itself. I'm working on a few atm. I might ask you if you'd like to be in it. This is SOOO common among young women these days its insane.

Yeah just send me a message if you have more questions. I work in health care too and I just worry about long term medical affects of this so I feel like we need to be having more conversations about non medical interventions like therapy first before starting on hormones

If your friends drop you for not being enby they're bad friends, regardless of politics. Like I have my disagreement with your politics but your experience is important to listen to.

Whatever you decide to do, remember to take care of yourself. I'm glad you're feeling better about your body, and I hope whatever path you take leads to a good mental health for you <3

Yeah you’re 100% right. The friends I have who I’m able to disagree with and be honest are real ones. Thank you so much🙂

I really like Blaire's videos too! I would love for Blaire to create a Slug group.
You may enjoy Rose of Dawn's channel as well!

Well now....I've found someone with remarkable insight to learn from here. Been watching some of Arielle's vids on youtube for a while and she is definitely unique and one of only two women I've seen who make complete sense to me on such matters. A very good thing, in my opinion. I hope she continues.

Yes I really enjoy watching her and Blaire white. They both stick to their principles and are honest even if I don’t always 100% agree I respect them and know they’re probably not lying

We are male and female. We have innate sexual preferences. Then we build ourselves, day by day, experience by experience. And it takes time and effort. If we are otherwise healthy, that process results in an individual that can live within the society they grew in.

But when we are not healthy (in body or spirit), then the process gets corrupted and it becomes difficult to understand where we fit into that society. I like that you got healthy and THEN understood who/what you were/are. Therapists seem to have forgotten or never understood this process and they are doing damage to people.

I DO think there are NB people, but they are EXTREMELY rare - the rest are still working it out and trying to fit in without yet knowing.

Yes I love this. Focus should be on personal growth and health first before involving medical intervention. I think there are NB people too but definitely they are probably rare.
