So in the past we assumed that with youthful optimism and liberal idealism would give way to wisdom and conservatism with age, many years ago when I went to university we laughed off the socialist/ marxists who populated the liberal arts as misguided youth who would eventually come to their senses with life experience. Sadly these assumptions have been wrong, dead wrong. It seems that the principals of liberal democracy and capitalist freedom have been ignored and minimized by our education system, media and politicians, to the point where the universal concepts we once held dear are now viewed with contempt. Social justice has replaced actual justice, intersectionality and associated victimhood have replaced hard work and education as a means for advancement and history is being re-written as we speak to place oppression as the leading force in the success of western culture thereby diminishing all legitimate sacrifice, hard work and ingenuity. Larger and larger segments of the population are embracing systems of culture, economics and politics which are in stark contrast to the systems which have brought us to the free, healthy, wealthy and fair society we enjoy. Science, factual data and accurate history have given way to emotional antidotes, mob decision making and the enforcement of approved opinions. The ability of the left to silence any points of view in opposition to their orthodoxy has transcended university campuses and taken hold in the mainstream media, and now is making its way into social media meaning that opportunities to spread sensible conservative messages to large populations of citizens is diminishing daily. Most of the voices of reason and logic have been deprived of large platforms and in many cases had their characters assassinated in the media, who and how are we to share messages that bring truth and logic back into the public sphere before all is lost to the leftist mob?

Part of the problem that's directly related to your post is the political/professional managerial class, as well as the academic class who trains them, and the fact that so many of them never experience the real world. The phrase "flyover states" didn't exist in my childhood; it's an attitude that only a cosmopolitan universalist could embrace. In the minds of the glorious visionaries of the modern ruling class, the only way to fix society is to expose the ignorant masses in the lands of wealth and privilege to the ignorant masses from oppressed populations, thereby lifting all boats on the rising tide of a common global humanity. The regard cultural traditionalists as stuck in a rut that only their multi-cult can fill. Most of them grew up in silks, and the texture associated with many vastly differing human societies and cultural traditions irritates their sensitive, well groomed skin-suits. The masses and their cultures irritate them, but very well stirred the blend sips well in a cocktail. Top-shelf, mind you...none of that well brand shit that the _ folk swill....

My own observation is that there is an ever growing group of people we might call the professional class who are two or more generations from getting their hands dirty, they don't do or understand mundane things like changing their oil, fixing plumbing or hanging a door, they have "people" for that. What it means is that they do not relate to our appreciate the "underclass" who perform the dirty work. As a result we have the growing class divide in what was once a class less society. I think it also is apparent in your fly over country comment, did that not used to be called America's heartland? the change in attitude is demonstrated in the language.

"Larger and larger segments of the population are embracing systems of culture, economics and politics"
This is certainly a valid observation. The fact is that few - very few of these newly minted minds have any singularly personal investment in the system. They don't own property, they are for the most part dependent upon family (mom and dad) and upon gov't (the tax payers) and they feel no affinity for the iconography (statues and busts of historically great leaders and thinkers).
This violently demanding mob has invested nothing - no blood, no sweat - they have abosolutely no equity in the system of economics and productivity that gave them the very comfort they blindly, blithely take for granted.

I interpret your essay here thusly: "how do we win them over. How do we get them to see they are actively deconstructing the very gilded cage in which they have always lived"

I submit that we don't - we can't win them over. They have never had a cathartic experience. No global wars, no global economic failure or depression, no personal loss of home. I also submit that trite and true cliche' applies "life is the best teacher" and very few members of the demanding youthful mob have experienced real life.
I have little faith in them - I find myself skeptical and a bit cynical in my dotage. I see the mob as hopelessly unredeemable and therein poised to do much greater harm than they can ever know.

Sad isn’t it
Makes me glad I’m old
Trouble is, by the time they realize what tools they were, it will be too late.
