@Jmann44492403 It's called projection. It means when they are talking about other people a lot of the times they are projecting themselves on to those people.
@Iamjustme I agree that projection could play a role, as self-reflection is not a strong trait in many, but when people refer to Trump as a fascist, while denying that Antifa even exists; claiming the ‘deep state’ is a conspiracy theory, while still holding on to the idea of ‘Russian collusion’.......that’s something else. I don’t want to be too simplistic, but when you view everything through the prism of ‘Hate Trump’, almost anything is moral and justifiable.
I was driving through the USA in the 1960s, with my girlfriend, on our way to Mexico. We had a Morris Minor with the back seats taken out to make room for our pup tent. (Try camping out in Mexico today!)
I was from Canada and not aware of the rights marches for equality. We stopped somewhere in Mississippi for breakfast. I had a beard and a state trooper walked into the restaurant, pointed us out and asked, "Are they giving you any trouble?" Couldn't figure out what he was talking about. Two days layer we heard the marches were coming through that area. I guess he thougt we were white trash from the north trying to stir up trouble.
