Jenny Durkan, Seattle’s mayor without a clue is now finding herself in a political fight for her life. A judge has just spprovrd a recall election that could well remove her from office. This comes as no surprise to many who were appalled by her inability, or unwillingness, to deal forcefully with the C.H.A.Z. self-proclaimed anarchy zone for a month, during which unfortunate residents and business were terrorized and extorted by the so-called leaders of the uprising.

But wait. This is the Bizzaro World of Seattle, where up is down, right is wrong and the laws of social interaction, to say nothing of the laws of physics, no longer apply.

“...it appears that the recall petition actually opposes Durkan for opposing the activities of the CHAZ, claiming that Durkan was restricting protected political activity within the confines of the commune. The petition accuses Durkan of “endanger(ing) the peace and safety of the community” by allowing the police to “leak false information about fabricated crimes and threats to the media.” The recall also cites a curfew implemented upon the City of Seattle after the anarchists set up their autonomous commune.”

This, for the idiot who called this blatant display af anarchic lawless “Seattle’s Summer of Love.”

How much you want to bet that the next mayor will make Durkan look like Phyllis Schlaflry in comparison..

I'm in Portland, OR just on the other side of the river from Downtown, so I'm safe...Feds are here and are being called an occupying army by the leadership and the local media. Never mind the weeks of smashing and attempted arson by LARPing white college students.....I really hope downtown businesses here do something similar and sue the city for allowing this to go on. We all a lot to live here
