Theodore Roosevelt (1858-1919), Jr., also known as T.R., and to the public (but never to friends and family) as Teddy, was the twenty-sixth President of the United States, and a leader of the Republican Party and of the Progressive Movement. He became the youngest President in United States history at the age of 42. He served in many roles including Governor of New York, historian, naturalist, explorer, author, and soldier (posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor in 2001 for his role at the Battle of San Juan Hill in the Spanish-American War). Roosevelt is most famous for his personality: his energy, his vast range of interests and achievements, his model of masculinity, and his "cowboy" persona.

Theodore Roosevelt was a statement, he was not just a politician. Perhaps one of the last true statement. He advocated diversity of thought, not diversity for the sake of diversity as the identiterians of today promote. But he was also about merit of traditional values and leadership hierarchy. He was firm but fair. He was a hard working, strong character individual. A leader.

“No man can be a good citizen unless he has a wage more than sufficient to cover the bare cost of living, and hours of labor short enough so after his day's work is done he will have time and energy to bear his share in the management of the community, to help in carrying the general load.
I am an American; free born and free bred, where I acknowledge no man as my superior, except for his own worth, or as my inferior, except for his own demerit.

Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the president or any other public official, save exactly to the degree in which he himself stands by the country. It is patriotic to support him insofar as he efficiently serves the country. It is unpatriotic not to oppose him to the exact extent that by inefficiency or otherwise he fails in his duty to stand by the country. In either event, it is unpatriotic not to tell the truth, whether about the president or anyone else.

Here is your country. Cherish these natural wonders, cherish the natural resources, cherish the history and romance as a sacred heritage, for your children and your children's children. Do not let selfish men or greedy interests skin your country of its beauty, its riches or its romance. To waste, to destroy our natural resources, to skin and exhaust the land instead of using it so as to increase its usefulness, will result in undermining in the days of our children the very prosperity which we ought by right to hand down to them amplified and developed.

The things that will destroy America are prosperity at any price, peace at any price, safety first instead of duty first and love of soft living and the get-rich-quick theory of life. To educate a man in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society. A man who has never gone to school may steal from a freight car; but if he has a university education, he may steal the whole railroad.

Our aim is not to do away with corporations; on the contrary, these big aggregations are an inevitable development of modern industrialism, and the effort to destroy them would be futile unless accomplished in ways that would work the utmost mischief to the entire body politic. We can do nothing of good in the way of regulating and supervising these corporations until we fix clearly in our minds that we are not attacking the corporations, but endeavoring to do away with any evil in them. We are not hostile to them; we are merely determined that they shall be so handled as to subserve the public good. We draw the line against misconduct, not against wealth.

Americanism means the virtues of courage, honor, justice, truth, sincerity, and hardihood the virtues that made America. It is quote remarkable how sensible his position on immigration was and how close it mirrors some of the presidents of today that are demonized, like Vladimir Putin.

I support this stance. Illegal immigration is invasion and should not be tolerated. Legal immigration must come by those who accept the culture and values of host country are are willing to commit themselves to working for the good of the community. In turn they get benefits for which they came for. That is the most sensible and fair position to take.

Freedom of thought (also called freedom of conscience or ideas) is the freedom of an individual to hold or consider a fact, viewpoint, or thought, independent of others' viewpoints.

Freedom of speech is a principle that supports the freedom of an individual or a community to articulate their opinions and ideas without fear of retaliation, censorship, or legal sanction.

In Britain we have seen weak politicians and endless illegal and dubious migration which eventually brought to power Sadiq Aman Khan a British politician who has served as the Mayor of London since 2016. A Muslim with strong tendency to favor his own making London the least British citiy. He is big on politicing what you say on Twitter (literally saying trans woman is not a woman will get you though police on your door, I shit you not) but bad on politicing actual violence on the streets. Knife stabs and acid attacks.

True but the explanation for that is going to very unpopular - that being that human kind is basically venial, petty, self serving, vain and suffers from fatal pride.
In other words mankind has not "evolved" at all. This fact - this reality is all we need for how literally ALL human institutions eventually collapse.

@iThink Thank you. I love quotes. I collect quotes. I often actually think in quotes. And modern technology like note taking app Evernote, allows me to keep a database of my own, so I can easily search them and post them. That is my secret. Off course I still have to manually remember something I read and when its appropriate to post it in the correct context.
