2007190910 CURIOUSER & CURIOUSER? The best I can make out this rendition by Burl Ives is the closest to original. For some reason I’m of the impression this song is actually about a couple of 14 year old kids set in Savannah, Georgia. Everybody & their cousin has recorded this song – each with their own changes. Me thinks the nickel & dime lyrics gives it away though.
