If it is necessary to let police officers go, don’t do it based upon seniority. Use a common sense approach and fire those not doing their job well and the redundancies. Give those approaching retirement the opportunity to retire early put in place a hiring freeze on a section-by-section basis until the “right-size” is obtained, while allowing transfers to have priority over new-hires. OR you could just fire all the white guys, then continue with the white women, then other minorities until you have only a black force. Justice for all, unless you’re not black. Good thing I self identify as black.

Why do you insult Eastern Europe? Are you thinking East Germany when the Soviet State was a State? You do have some East Europeans in this community , you know that right? Maybe you would tell us how your Hell Hole of a city, just now became the Equal to some place you think is bad? Love your assurance of agreement. But.....I am going to give you a hard time of it. Unless you say...."My City has been quite hellish for longer then I have been alive, and I am Sorry"! Well, maybe not that exact truth, but, Why pick on Eastern Europe?

Germans cannot image the difficulties of the race mix/history here
Fair enough on Eastern Europe, I edited to add “Soviet-era.” I actually travelled through Belarus, Poland and Germany recently and love Eastern Europe. However, there will always be an image for me of an Eastern Europe under the jackboot of Marxist authoritarianism, which is the exact image I have of the Pacific Northwest today.
@GeeMac . Very Well we the non-Eastern Europeans will let you off the proverbial Hook. But you must find a way to destroy that brainwashing that the Soviet's wrought, on such small beautiful (you agree!) Countries. Our world is such a whirl of change, hard to keep up, I know, but for the Oceanside Cities on both coasts, Seattle deserves the image you have! Cheers!
