My purpose was to find out just how old the game of chess is – nothing more. Thinking that Encyclopedia Britannica to be a most reliable source that where I went. As to its age, I don’t think they knew or have a realistic chance of finding out anytime soon – IT’S JUST OLD, VERY OLD!
What’s pissed me off is that the only competition accounting shown was female only – why is that?
But now you must be asking ‘WHY CHESS?’ Because it represents a microcosm of ancient life – or at least how people saw the life they were living. I can’t see how their views of life could be a patriarchal social construction for the purpose oppressing poor victimized women.
