Mao didn't even make any bones about his death squads, population control, and even when he wasn't purposefully killing people his environmental tyranny killed between 25 and 73 million people to starvation. North Korea like most communist countries is another great example of snazzy uniforms and underfed populations.

Central planning is difficult even with geniuses like Lenin (yes, Mom, I said it) in charge but when you disregard the impact of a species when doing your "greater good-ing" you literally can destroy 50 million lives to mass starvation. Communism--specificially Marxist--doesn't work well. Even when the country is propped up like Cuba it still fails to thrive. Once you add capitlism to the mix to try and make thing work better its a coin toss whether you will end up with state capitalism like China or "Norway" but since there's only one Norway and lots of China, Cambodia, and Venezuela's (even Part I, II, and III) it's not a good gamble.

What Corbyn should do and others like him is just go live on a fucking commune. Start one. Practice it with you and others like you without trying to force it on other people who would rather not.
