If you have kids you need to stop trusting any source on how to care for your children. They don't have the best interest of your kids in mind and maybe they never did. Schools are actively telling parents to not provide the best care for there kids because if makes them do better than other kids. This isn't even a joke. Your kids doing better than others is a bad outcome in yhe eyes of those making choices and providing advice on child care.
This is not the first time I've seen this either. There was a massive study a few years ago about readong to your kids at night. They wanted to encourage parents to stop doing it becsue it helped kids and not all parents were able to read to their kids. The only reason this was not given as a recommendation is "the advantages of parents child bonding that reading to children has outweighs the negative impact on equality".
The people running schools and doing parenting studies are dystopian monsters and you should keep your kids of far from them as possible.

Just think what you are allowed to do and what you are not allowed to do. With the sole exception of causing harm to others I am "allowed" to do WHATEVER I want.
