Why Hollywood went Woke, and When "Normalcy" Might Return
"Normalcy" he thinks about still sucks. Quality in Hollywood has been in decline for decades so I don't think "Normalcy" is satisfying enough but at least get rid of the feminist / SJW / woke crap and get back to storytelling with compelling characters and meaningful stories. Get rid of all the endless sequels, reboot, remake crap and do something new.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Hollywood Republicans have been "in the closet" for years. But, you know it's bad when someone center or even just a tiny bit right leaning is being shamed for having an opinion. It's even worse when its POC.
Entertainers have shaken up Hollywood for decades. They've been largely known for going against the grain in shocking ways. Some of my favorite movies, musicals, productions, etc. have gone against societal norms and broken taboo subjects.
Inserting woke values into Entertainment feels more often like ad placements than an organic flow of creativity. It reminds me of a time (that "Wayne's World" did humorously well) where you would see some one eating a perfectly placed bag of chips, or drink a perfectly angled drink, in their movie/ show. It's both easily identifiable as well as breaks the overall immersion of experience.
Reboot is my favorite Entertainment cringe word in the age of woke. You kind of already have this expectation that it's going to suck before even seeing it. Star Wars, Ghostbusters, Disney movies, video games, and so many others have taken a hit. Sucking out everything that's deemed offensive and throwing in extreme leftist ideals kills the creative process by backing it into a corner.
How artists have gone from breaking societal norms to self censoring to meet woke expectations is beyond me.

In the past Hollywood had characters...today only actors...there is a huge difference. Everyone in America is a senseless faddist all homogenized to be exactly alike.

Yeah. Preparation for role today is 3 months in the gym instead of 3 months actually preparing for characterization. You add wokness on top and you get modern day Hollyweird.
