Who are keeping us in wars we should either probably not have been in or should at least have been out of some time ago? Who have let China engage in a Cold War against us with virtually no repercussions for at least the past 20 years or so? If so, then I really don't carry what they think at this point. Besides, these don't represent the entirety of the so-called "national security experts" (whatever that means). For example, I believe there are currently around 40 four star officers actively serving in the military, so the "22 four star officers" hardly represent a strong majority, especially if we don't even know if these are among those currently serving. I didn't notice in the article that they were among those currently serving, so it may mean that most or all of them are out of the loop anyway. At any rate, I'm just using that group as an example as to why I don't much care bout this list.

You’re right about that. It’s politics. Not science. Just like the 500 you referenced. That’s fine. It’s an election. Politics is everywhere. Just don’t pretend you’re posting news.
So a vote for Harris-Biden is a vote for maintaining the same geopolitical policies of the past several decades. That's great if you support the military-industrial complex and a state of permanent warfare. That's great if you support pimping out the US military to Israel, Saudi Arabia, the UN, NATO, and multinational corporations.

"Deep state" is just short-hand for "bureaucrats who improperly obstruct the agenda the people legitimately voted for."
