The candidates had barely left the stage before the media descended on the bones first presidential debate, illustrating that Donald Trump’s real opponent isn’t Joe Biden. It’s the news media.
Their narrative: Trump is a racist bully, while Biden is the calm, mature adult.
Although President Trump was tough and confident, the media quickly labelled him a “bully”. ABC News said Trump’s “chaos” was countered by Biden’s “stability”. Biden was the adult in the room? The same Biden who told the President to “shut up”? The same Biden who then made himself look worse, calling Trump a liar, a racist, a clown and a fool?
Yet Obama ex-flunky Rahm Emanuel, apparently watching a different debate, said it was the President who was “totally out of control.”
Democrat loyalist George Stephanopoulos may have given a hint as to their post-debate strategy, when he brashly suggested one debate was more than enough, facing the camera sternly and asking voters, “Is this something we need to see again?”
Sleepy Joe, wearing a cringeworthy grin throughout the night, was pummelled, and missed every opportunity to score against Trump. Could it be that the Dems will use the bad press against the President as an excuse to duck out of the two remaining match-ups to protect Biden?

Both men looked bad in predictable fashion. All Trump had to do is let Joe be Joe. No, we don't need to see a repeat. We need to see a real debate between two adults. Let's hope we get it. I don't think the Dems will call it quits because Trump can spin that as cowardice on their part. Let's just hope we get what we deserve.

Between Bidens bumbling and Trumps interruptions with a limited vocabulary, America has never looked sicker.
Two grown adults can't follow the basic rules of conversation without constantly interrupting each other.
Biden often looked like a badly rehearsed actor stumbling over his lines while Trump fired off the usual list of lies and showed a lack of self control that could be a dangerous trait in a commander-in-chief.
I think we've seen the Trump dog and pony show so often, most of us know it word for word, so expect nothing new in the remaining debates.
Biden looked tired, unenthusiastic, and lacked the strength of character required for one of the toughest jobs in the world.
I have two sons and several grandchildren that are American citizens. I am concerned for their futures like i've never been before.
These two guys are supposedly the best people available to lead one of the greatest nations on the planet. Personally, i think Americans deserve better.

So the constant lying, the shirking of responsibility, the mishandling of the pandemic, the misinformation, none of that? It was the name calling? it's something most adults grow out of at an early age.

The whole 2 minute crap is laughable. Zero time to actually get into the topics, which kept overlapping. It was basically a debate between Trump and Wallace, too.
Also, anyone else find it cringy the way Biden kept looking directly in the camera as if he was "speaking directly to the American people"? Felt totally fake to me.

It was totally fake, but all the woke commentators treated it like Churchill’s darkest hour moment.
Biden told the President to “shut up”, and called him a liar, a racist, a clown and a fool, which only resulted in Joe looking bad.
And he even had the gall to say that President Trump was being "unpresidential."

Trump is responsible for his own behavior, of course, but I found myself puzzled by his combativeness last night, which was extreme even for him. Then I thought, how would I like it if day in and day out I was the target of a massive hate campaign, constantly maligned and misrepresented. Sure, Trump has his warts, but has any other US president had to withstand this level of contempt displayed by the MSM? I'm not excusing his behavior...he signed up for this. But I can't imagine being in his shoes.
