How can people say that mask prevents the spread of Covid, when all they do is touch their face constantly. Plus the fact that they compare mask stopping a virus to a chain link fence stopping an Olive from passing through.‍

This is actually a better conversation than I've heard on Liberty Hangout. The poor girl definitely has issues, though. Kinda wish she knew how to listen. Kaitlin seems a lot less antagonizing than I've seen.

I think that if someone has been taught and believes in the kind of "collective thought" antiracism talking points, it has to be extremely hard to grasp an idea as simple as "all races can be racist".

I tried to think about how I would change my own mind in regards to racism. I was brought up with the "character v color" way of thinking. Antiracism wants a hyper awareness of race that I can't get past.

If I had been brought up antiracist. I wonder if it would be just as hard to try and understand "character v color". I don't know.

I would think, given human nature of at least a small sense of protection to ones individual identity, continuing to adhere to "collectivist thinking" over your own would eventually erode over time. Which is why I don't think antiracism can be a sound long term goal.

On the other hand, a continued responsibility of ones own thoughts, left up to the individual, in combination of teaching that no one should be treated differently based on immutable characteristics (all races and sexes included), is more practical.
