- Plug it in.
- You have your own Facebook/Twitter for you and anybody who want to register, and they can befriend people from other servers like yours everywhere. Nobody has control, and even if you're an asshole and ban someone from your server, they just go and register to other person's server and keep using it as normal. Or get their own.
Somebody just opens a GoFundMe to pay a programmer to build a one click install of a personal Facebook/Twitter node off the Fedeverse; and for a publicity campaign to popularize it? That way, anybody with a spare computer can just easily deploy an instance at their home, or buy one of these. Wouldn't you get one?

?? It makes your own service available online, no matter where you access it from. This particular example has USB ports and a display port, but it's not meant to be as a computer if you're just going to use it as a server.
@wolfhnd Yeah, it can be installed on a spare computer too. I've been telling about this type of stuff since a long time. I would go for recycling too, but it seems to me like people just don't wanna bother. So I went an did a little research on buyable stuff. But it's totally doable in an old spare computer. Want me to point you to the software and stuff?
@wolfhnd Then you probably know better than I do. I've been wanting to run any server since 1996, but I'm piss poor and therefore behind a NAT firewall thanks to my cheap ISP service. So I've never gotten to a point where I should worry about security. Hell, never been able to make anybody reach my computer even through a transversal tunnel. Sigh... I hate Mexico.
