Compare that to burning down a building with people inside... not so much of a stretch.
Then compare this one incident of reckless driving with hundreds, if not thousands, of incidents of actual murder, actual assault, actual arson; businesses/livelihoods destroyed primarily in black neighborhoods by white suburbanites on a LARP in their Walmart-Ninja costumes; in just about every major city in the country for months on-end... and your perspective is dramatically, almost unbelievably skewed.
In the end, there was no reason to cancel the event. I'm still guessing nobody showed up.

There was certainly a reason to cancel the event, their lives were threatened by armed Trump supporters. Just like when Cadet Bone Spurs ran off the stage because he was afraid of someone at a rally, and ran to his little bunker because people were protesting outside the White House.
