well may have the first case of Covid hitting close to home and frankly people have been trying to pull the “if you knew someone card” and i can tell you even if its confirmed and even if it does turn into a harsh case it doesn’t change the overall data of how this disease operates. the person who got was def a bit reckless when it came to her social activities and didnt always wear a mask but she wore it at the times she was supposed to and the times she wasn't it was around people she has been around for months. besides that studies really aren’t entirely conclusive that mask wearing is the end all be all to prevent it. hell the person she likely got it from has been wearing masks around her 99% of the time and prob the one time they weren’t they were around the same people they’ve been with up till the. anyway i don't blame her i don’t blame others she was around. Hell i don't really even blame China. if i gotta blane anything i guess fate perhaps. like you can only try and take so many preventative measure and even then you can still get it. just look at pregnancy. aside from more permanent surgical means you can take the pill, use a condom, the guy can pull out, you can think you are too young or too old, go by the phase of the moon, try some weird position or method you heard from a blog that lessens your chance or create some environment that is supposed to lessen your chances (shall i go on?) and still get pregnant. Point being, whatbdoes knowing someone have to do with changing the data of it. perhaps it may change some of my habits and maybe ill be a bit more careful but like i thought these people were doing everything right and they still got it

Looking at the numbers and taking the feelings out of it is the correct way to look at this whole thing. By and large, you really need to be on your guard if you are 65+ or if you have underlying conditions. I'm sick of '32 year old man dies from Covid', you get 4 paragraphs in and he beat testicular cancer 8 months ago. '12 year old child dies after testing positive for Covid', much later in the story, this kid had severe asthma and had been a diabetic since the age of 2. Odds are, if you are reasonably healthy and contract Covid you will survive. Not everyone will but the odds are in your favor. MSM needs to stop the if it bleeds it leads bullshit and stop scaring the shit out of the general population. We are all responsible for our own health. We all need to do what is necessary so closing the economy isn't on the table. Covid isn't going anywhere. Even when there is a vaccine not everyone will take it. Take the proper precautions and hope for the best. It's all we can do.

i was thinking about this a bit ago and if people trybto appeal to emotions and be like, “but if you only knew someone who had it” the reality is i don't need to know someone who went through it to think its bad. like look at cancer, suicide, AIDs, etc. people don't need to know someone directly effected by those things to thinknthey are as bad as they are the numbers are hust that bad fir those things and with Covid after you crunch the hard numbers it’s not as bad as we want to makenit out to be. i mean there are plentybof other diseases that people get that arent deadly but can turn deadly given the right circumstances for that tragedy to occur. and sometimes we can't even predict that either meaning tit may not just be they had underlying health problems.
