I don't get it. What is the obsession with her being a bartender?

@jpnese Not really taking yours seriously. But the original comment I am, since it's not the first time I've seen the whole "bartending" thing being brought up to attack her. And I really don't understand it. I also think she is a great congresswoman.

@JacksonNought I wouldn't call it an "obsession" with her being a bartender; I'm sure there are a lot of wizened and brilliant bartenders who could absolutely help run a country...but she's not one of them.

@jpnese can I ask why you think she is a hack? Since you aren't basing it on her politics, so you'd still call her a hack even if she was campaigning for Trump.

@PopeBoboXII it sure seems like an obsession, since it is a very common insult among Conservative detractors. I'm not really sure why being a bartender has anything to do with her intelligence? Plenty of people have to work their way through college, they can't all be born with a silver spoon in their mouth. She graduated cum laude from Boston University with a degree in International Relations and Economics, so she knows what's she's doing.

@JacksonNought Then why was she bartending if she had all that knowledge? That said, though, it's a one-off comment, related to the meme, and you're breathlessly white-knighting about it...I mean go for it if that's your bag, but at the end of the day, it's not that important.

@PopeBoboXII white-knighting is just a term to try and dismiss anyone's opinion. She clearly moved on to more important things with her degree, so she did use her knowledge for something. What happened to the Conservative notion of pulling up by one's own bootstraps?

And it was a one off meme comment, but one I consistently see as an attempt to put AOC down. And I was inquiring into what the deal was.

that s a good question, while i do think people on both sides of the political machines in US are hacks including Mr Trump i am not defending his style of politiking since he really is not a politician , he is a populisty polarizing figure that is representing the feelings of half America if not more,

therefore i could suggest that AOC and Trump are both Hacks, i do not particular think there is any sincerity in AOC , she appears to be an oppurtunist as well, furthermore, i do not support her ideology its dangerous, and the fact she voices a politics that to me is more dangerous as history dictates.......but like most people in her age demographics i don't think they have a clue about history nor its relevance

i suppose its my personal opinion
