@Rick-A Historically, the black community centered in Bronzeville in Chicago was physically, legally, and economically restrained to an area on one side of what are today the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks. The most glaring example is Fuller Park, a several blocks-wide neighborhood pinned between those tracks and the Dan Ryan Expressway, with racist white gangs on one side in Canarywille and highly concentrated public housing (much of which was subject to disinvestment and is now being redeveloped) on the other. @WilyRickWiles Racism isn’t an issue isolated to skin colour. It’s all classified as tribalism and skin colour is only one component of the problem. Language, religion and culture are all components. To try and lay the blame for this on white people is frankly just a leftist excuse to push multiculturalism and the concept of victimhood. It’s called group think!
I don’t live in India because they don’t like whites or Chinese people. People in Vietnam hate the Chinese it’s a form of racism.
I moved to a new country 33 years ago and I am still referred to as an immigrant even though they I can came from the same original British stock.

There was once a Marxist Black Us President who tried to introduce African styled group think. He failed and he almost destroyed the USA. Why would Americans want to regress into an African styled failure like SA, Zimbabwe, or a Somali.

I try to have a conversation with them about poor turnout and registration of working class Black people and Latinos, and they think I'm blaming people of color. No, I'm blaming the actions, the poor strategy, of the people in power, in not appealing to diverse working people and not supporting grassroots organizers.

Likewise, for this argument I'm not blaming white people collectively, I'm blaming the actions of people in power, which had racist intent and outcome.

And I'm calling attention to the racist history connoted by your language, which is commonly used as a dog whistle.

@Rick-A That's a reductive and ultimately nihilistic argument that only leads to violence and collapse of civilization. I am just a white male professional from a working class family who wants my interests and those of my neighbors to be represented and for society to be more conducive to community rather than atomization. Not to mention that the political right has lost its mind and is liable to get us all killed. I'd like to avoid that.
