The civil rights movement demanded such programs. Do you know why? Because universities were segregated. Plus there was a need for more social workers to correct systemic racism in the small window where the demands of MLK Jr. and other civil rights leaders were taken seriously, e.g. before Nixon shut them down in response to a violent white racist backlash. Moreover, careers get the status and compensation that the powerful award them through professionalization or that they demand through unionization. Does it make you feel smart to know that you've just unquestioningly lapped up the half-baked mythology that white men of declining status use to justify the preservation of white supremacy and patriarchy? Your race and gender "science" is little different than the eugenics that was once cutting edge
you only know about critical race theory from weird right wing pundits who have managed to make it a terrifying bogeyman in the space of under a year.
Hell yes! This is the best idea and best use for a Liberal that I have heard of in years!
