Canada’s worst ever Governor General is walking away with a truckload of cash after her forced resignation.
Julie Payette quit as Canada’s worst ever representative of the Queen after a scathing report on abuse of her staff. Payette has a history of mistreating staff, was earlier involved in an assault, and a fatal motor vehicle accident.
Despite her spotty record and poor performance, and after just three years on the job, she leaves with an annual pension of $150,000.00. In addition, she gets an annual expense account of $200,000 and has access to $10-million or more to set up a personal charitable foundation. Not bad for a 36-month stint of angry indifference.
Payette’s chief cheerleader was Woke Ranger Justin Trudeau, who personally demanded the ex-astronaut get the job, despite her questionable past. Trudeau has earlier dismantled an independent commission, set up by the previous Conservative government, to make independent appointments.
