To be fair, the Left-leaning media also tells us that NONE of the Antifa/BLM protests over the Summer had violence(1), only the protest at the Capitol on 1/6 by "armed" insurrectionists.(2)
Journalism isn't about reporting the news; it's about pushing a narrative and encouraging people to click. If they enrage you with a headline and you click on their article, they win. They gain advertising revenue to keep themselves alive.
Do not fall for the bait. If a business is doing something you find unethical, do not support it. That holds true for the media, Amazon, Disney, eBay, Coca-Cola, anyone. Vote with your wallet.
(1) Except for, you know, those 20 deaths, hundreds of police hospitalized, and $2 billion in damages.
(2) For which Capitol police did not confiscate a single firearm from all the people arrested.

Beyond the fact that it increases the country’s debt, how does a stimulus payment cut poverty? A short term solution does not solve a long term problem.

Although every word you just said was true, both leftist and conservatives use this ploy to appeal to the feeble-minded masses. Politicians know they’re just taking your dollars and giving you a pittance back, so you’ll think they did something nice for you.
The same logic applies to the thought of spending your way out of debt. Politicians know they can just have more money printed and all it requires is approving another increase to the national debt. “No problem, as the debt gets higher, the value of the dollar goes down, so we just owe the same amount because $10 trillion for the next generation is like $10 Million for the last generation, besides we never plan on repaying it anyway, it’ll all wash out with the great reset.” They’ll raise the minimum wage and then push inflation to make the $15/hr worth $8/hr. Now all those people that worked hard to get raised beyond minimum wage (a wage meant for unskilled workers to gain experience while acquiring experience) are pushed back to the minimum wage spending power again. Great way to push a larger portion of the working population into the poverty bracket in order to keep hungry. Ain’t socialism great?
Approximately 10% of the bill is going to stimulus checks for people. If you get $1000 that means you immediately owe $10,000 on the $1000 you got. Keep in mind that interest begins to accrue immediately.
This assumes everything is on the up and up with no shenanigans.
