A SLIGHT SEGUE IF YOU’LL FORGIVE ME?

A few days ago someone made the comment to me that the Hebrew Scriptures should be relegated to historical context for the Greek Scriptures. To this I must take exception in that Jesus Christ DID NOT!

There are over 600 laws in the Hebrew Scriptures (so many, no one knows for sure) ALL of which The Christ came to fulfill for you IF you accept him & his sacrifice for you. The first perfect man (Adam) failed whereas the second perfect man (Jesus) came to give you a free gift if you accept it? So, you see, it’s not that the Hebrew Scriptures are irrelevant – they are what the Messiah (Christ) came to fulfill for you. Of course, your free to fulfill the law (all 600+ of them) securing your own salvation if you think you can – can you? I hope you don’t mind this detour for just a moment?
