I'm going to get my butt in a sling here, but 'NO law is absolute'. Even the Constitution is subject to modification - as the Bill of Rights and seventeen other amendments makes clear.
Even black letter law is subject to judicial review.....

The problem is the Constitution is, well should be free of interference and destruction through EOs. It can be changed but there are set rules and means of doing so. Presidents acting like monarchs ruling by proclamation is not the way to have it done.
