I've often thought that nothing will prevent a guilty verdict, but now I can't help wonder if someone wants an acquittal and the certainty of another summer of massive unrest.
And then yesterday, apparently they had a witness that said Floyd died because of a lack of oxygen - not hypoxia per se - but a lack of available oxygen, which has people this morning calling it the smoking gun of the case. Personally, I don't know how you tell the difference between lack of oxygen due to hypoxia and lack of oxygen due to windpipe constriction, but I'm no expert.
It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. I think think sufficient reasonable doubt has already been established, what with several prosecution witnesses already undermining the prosecution's own case.
