Mannie Ellis died in Tacoma, Wa. a few days before Saint George did in Minneapolis!!!
Both men's last words were, "I can't breath"!!!
Both men had extensive criminal records, were Meth Heads, and had other health issues, both physical and mental!!!
Both Died while being taken into custody by police officers!!!
The police officers involved are being or have been charged with serious Felony crimes!!!
The involved officers lives are ruined, NO MATTER THE OUTCOME!!!!
I wore a badge and a gun for over 25 years!!!
I see no reason NOT TO DEFUND the Police, nationally!!! You ask why!!!!
IMHO, any Officer that is STILL REPORTING for duty is CRAZY and should be removed from duty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Law enforcement in my family started in about 1820 in the Oregon Territory and ended about 20 years ago!!!!!
It would still be in the family if I had not answered my grandson, "Don"t" when he asked me if he should join my old department!!!
If society continues to treat L.E. Officers as they are these days, I would recommend every officer to turn in his/her badge and walk away!!!! We know how to take care of our own!!!
Most of society has no idea!!!!!!!!!
