They will try. I wish them the best of luck, I really do.

But this battle is not between the 40% of the voting public that represent the core Left and the core Right, but that 60% in the middle that just goes with whatever seems to make sense at the time. And right now? That 60% gets their information from sources that are overwhelmingly controlled and curated by the Left.

You CANNOT just present truth as being self-evident when the majority of information sources are selectively ignoring anything that doesn't promote their supported narrative. That there's even the hint of political winds of change is because there are things going on that Joe Average - who doesn't even watch the news - is noticing. You cannot hide lumber, food, and energy prices. Even the apolitical churchmice are starting to notice something is very, very wrong here.
