US completes withdrawal from Afghanistan, ending 20-year deployment 
The United States has completed the withdrawal of it forces from Afghanistan, the U.S. military said on Monday, nearly twenty years after it invaded the country following the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on America.
Marine General Rank McKenzie, the head of the US Central Command made the comment at a Pentagon news briefing as the last troops sent to evacuate Americans and Afghans at risk following the Taliban's return to power flew out of the capital of Kabul.

It’s clear they haven’t. I know a spec ops soldier whose team tried to get to a family who was desperate to get out. He was devastated when he and his team had to RTB after an unsuccessful mission to rescue some of them. He was also heartbroken by the sight of so many children’s dead bodies because of this fiasco.
The Generals who chose to “shut up and color” instead of speaking out publicly against this foolish plan share the blame (with their CiC) for the failure of this mission.
It’s already Tuesday in Kabul
@Daveclark5 I understand State Department would not cooperate with anyone doing private missions to save people, in fact they made it harder by putting obstacles in their way including telling other countries not to allow rescue missions in to land.
