After weeks of pressure for a decision, the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation ruled that healthy 12 to 15-year-olds should not get Covid jabs, saying the benefit to their health did not outweigh the risks. In my opinion a very sound and sensible judgment.

However, Health Secretary Sajid Javid has now asked England's chief medical officer, on the advice of the JCVI, for a second opinion on vaccinating youngsters. I'm asking Why ?

He has told Chris Whitty to take into account 'non-health benefits', including whether vaccinating children would reduce disruption to their education. The professor, in consultation with the chief medical officers from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, will spend the next week weighing up evidence before making a recommendation. Up to this point in time mentioning other considerations regarding lockdowns etc. has got you accused of wanting to kill granny. What's Changed ?

Last night, a government source said that jabbing 12 to 15-year-olds was still 'very much on the table'. Again Why ?
Just as an aside why are representatives of the government and other people pushing these vaccinations so reluctant to use the word Vaccinations. They always use Jab and Jabbing just strikes me as strange, you'ld think they would want to be a little more precise in their wording.

Many senior ministers strongly back the idea and believe Professor Whitty is also in favour and will look to enlist senior doctors to collect evidence of the effects of the Covid pandemic on children's health to strengthen his case. This means that over the next few days Whitty and others will get in a room and come up with some way to spin vaccinating children as a good thing despite the JCVI making it plain that the vaccine represent more risk to children than Covid. What happened to "Follow the Science" and more importantly why is our government so determined to vaccinate healthy children against a disease that presents virtually no risk to them ? I'm expecting Covid Passports to be introduced soon in Scotland where 83% of over 30's have already been double vaccinated and Boosters are on the way.

I feel like I'm screaming into the abyss. Why can't others see just how inconsistent and anti science this entire affair has become and where does it end ? Maybe 2nd and 3rd boosters, more variants and even newer improved vaccines ? Nothing seems to make sense any more and I'm beginning to think there might be skulduggery afoot.
