The last thing I expected to see was this: a high profile woke socialist siding with the Trump camp and admitting the Russiagate scandal was Democratic propaganda. Comedian Russell Brand seems genuinely surprised that he, and so many other woke progressives were completely fooled by the Clinton campaign hoax.

Maher, too, whatever you think of him, knows his own mind.
Liberal does not equal Leftist. Some of these guys think they're "from the left." Not so much.

Agree on both. I don’t care so much about the political persuasion with people who are reasonable, and willing to listen or change their opinion.
He was dumbfounded by the revelation. I find that incredible.

Hannity laid it all out, early on. Hannity got it right. Praise people who make successful predictions.
Maddow got it all wrong. Maddow is not worthy of being watched.
Brand is using the opportunity to self-aggrandize and virtue signal. He should instead praise Republicans that saw it long ago.

Also, there’s no accountability for all those media people who hyped this myth day-in, day-out.
The genesis of this for me was a famous Trump pre-election interview with the now disgraced Matt Lauer, who tried to corner Trump into attacking Vladimir Putin. Wisely, Trump refused. That refusal was immediately spun as “Trump Loves Putin”. It grew and grew, and the Dems saw a possible wedge.
Had Trump criticized Putin that early on, of course, the media would have had a different spin. “Trump Unpresidential”, “Trump Undermines Security”.
He's a bit slow on this one.
