It was unfortunate are that the reporter phrased the shipping problems as being about big ticket items rather than what it is known for, ie toilet paper, and other basic needs supplies.

The biggest concern is that we have devolved as a people to the point that we stand by (and record with our cell phones) as a woman is violently raped on a subway train. I find it hard to believe that nobody there was human enough to grab him by the nuts with one hand (squeezing as hard enough to have his full attention) and by the hair with the other hand and drag him off of her then, forcing him to the ground and placing their knee in back of his neck while pulling up with both hands until he could be turned over to the police. (No need to use his head as a battering ram until he was no longer a threat to her or anybody else if he could be subdued otherwise). I am a Christian, and do not believe in harming others, but I do believe in using force to protect those being harmed and ensuring that the force is sufficient to ensure the attack will not resume or be redirected. I don’t believe I’ve ever even punched another human being in my 6 decades on this earth even though I’ve received many punches.

I have never witnessed this type of attack (rape), but I have successfully stopped the frontal attack (by a drug crazed attacker) that included subduing him by slamming him against a wall and to the ground and pinning his chest to the ground with my knee in the back of his neck and pulling his head up by his hair so he could not get his hands on anybody. When the police broke down the door and pointed their guns at me not knowing I was not the attacker, they repeatedly yelled to get off of him and I said, “I am getting off him, but you need to be ready as he will attack again.” When I got off, he was very quick to jump up and fortunately he went for them too instead of just me and they had to subdue him. I wasn’t gentle, but I never sought to cause anyone any more damage than was necessary to stop the attack and prevent it from resuming. My conscience is clear.
