Many of them absolutely do. They aren’t much different from an enormous number of people in other fields. However, we expect our servants who we hired to represent us to have our interests at heart. We will stop having this expectation when we realize that power corrupts and money buys power. Many politicians entered politics to actually do good, but, over time, most fall into temptation and lose themselves. If we had term limits, we’d see less of this phenomenon. There would still be bought and paid for politicians, but they would have less time to do their damage. IMO.
@Daveclark5 the problem is, they stop representing voters the moment the voters cast their votes.
