Not only are we told what we must do, now we are told what we may think. BOYCOTT THE AUSTRALIAN OPEN. Do not go. Do not watch on any media. Tell your friends. Make it spread. I hope you can help us?

I have closely followed tennis all this time.
The moment I saw the story about Djoko being deported I decided to NEVER again watch the Aussie Open. Too bad. The Aussie open is the first "major" tournament of the calendar year - its one of the 4 so called "grand slam" tournaments.
It is a source of tremendous revenue $$$$ for the host country and city. They stand to lose a lot of money they otherwise would have brought in before making such a bad decision.
I'll miss it - it'll be the first time I did NOT watch the 2 week tournament in more than about 35 or 40 years -give or take a few.
I also will NOT follow the Aussie open on the web - no streaming, no you tube vids...nada.

@2FollowHim that doesn't surprise me - Pro tennis is gone full woke - its been that way for quite a long time. So I don't doubt that there are more than a few players who are all in with the "mandates".
Within this very tight system, wondering if you know others in Australia?
Gotta be cagey, covert, but maybe it could help? It would help all involved but that's kinda small #.
What if someone made up a catchy jingle that was easy for others to join in?

If everyone does a small thing like not viewing something or not buying something the effect can be huge.
I’ve watched every year for longer than I can remember. I won’t watch anymore. I’m not even a Djokovic fan but I stand behind him on this issue. I’ve given up football, baseball, and basketball so I guess tennis is next. What a sad state of affairs this world is in.

my story on viewing pro sports exactly! It will be interesting to see how other tennis events in other countries treat Djoko going forward. Tennis, sadly has gone full woke IMHO. So I've been thinking of NOT watching anymore - period. Deporting Djoko solidified my decision on it.
