If a person genuinely identifies as a gender other than their biological sex, that's something we should respect. With the general acceptance of trans folk in society, some individuals are exploiting the option for competitive advantage. Biological males dominating female sports is an obvious example, but no doubt some perverts identify as the opposite sex for nefarious purposes.
